Looks like it's back to bumming

Apparently, the job that I've applied for wasn't the one that I was looking for. The management trainee program involved a lot of direct selling and Blondal, formerly known as Electrolux decided that they have a new product and have a new division called Hydroguard. Tell me honestly, how many people would purchase a water filtration system from a company that sells vacuum cleaners? 1 out of 10 people? 1 out of 20 people? I mean the product is good, but heck it costs more than an engine transplant for a car!

Looks like I'm back to job hunting. If I don't find something soon, I think I'm going to start applying to the job-hunting agencies. Sure there's a fee involved, but heck it beats not having a job and all. Looks like X'mas is just around the corner and I must say Jessica Simpson's new X'mas album sounds nice. It's getting me in the festive mood already. Hmm, now should I put up the old tree... or maybe it's just too much work. Yea, I think I'll skip the idea and celebrate X'mas from my heart. That sounds a lot easier.

And Andrew and Azuan, thanks a bunch for the drinking session presented at Cristo's. It's nice to get together, drink and be merry! Though I had the worst hangover yesterday. My neighbour's car brokedown and needed a push. Everytime I pushed, the blood rushed to my head and gave me the biggest headache ever! Well at least I've recovered today. We've gotta do it again!

Starting work tomorrow

It's been a while since I've written an entry, but I've got my reasons. Firstly, wasn't really in much of a mood to write. It's been 2 months since I've sent out my resume and the responses were coming in. I had gone to two interviews, the first with Allianz Life Assurance and the second was with Blondal Sdn. Bhd. I rejected the first offer cause I didn't see myself training insurance sales staff for the next few years. The working hours were not that exciting cause I was told to be prepared for weekend work as well as after hour work schedules.

Two and a half months passes quite quickly when you're at home doing nothing. When I was at the Blondal interview I was quite shocked when the Regional Manager, a Swedish man called me Mr. Timberland! Talk about making an impression on the first interview. I was quite happy with how the interview went and I could feel that I was already offered the job before I even came in for the second interview. Sure enough they called me in the next day and told me that I was offered the job and to cut my hair. Yes, that's what the Regional Manager said, "Your hair is too long, please cut it, and don't be late on Monday".

To be honest, it's been a while since I've stepped foot into the working world. The two and a half years I've spent finishing my degree has put me in the holiday mood. Honestly I took it as a ticket to relaxing my mind and unwinding from the work stress. I must say, it's been a good holiday, but as they say, "All good things, must come to an end". I just wish that I could go on longer, but I think I better start work before my mind gets too rusty and cobwebs start to develop.
